After many match fixing allegations at the time of The World Championship earlier this year its all gone quiet on the snooker front.
Wondered what was happening with John Higgins?
The new season starts soon, will he be back?
Pytanie #3:
Exciting to watch but as far as l could see his main claim to fame was being able to play fast like Ronnie O'Sulivan and Jimmy White. It is good seeing them playing fast because snooker is boring to watch. I think Higgins was a pratt though .I liked to watch him play but he behaved like a right spoilt brat. I believe these quick player would turn to sh!t if they slowed their game doiwn.

Hi Y!A Dog Section! :D
Well, I just wanted to enter a CPE (Canine Performance Events) trial in November and just noticed some of the classes were : Snooker, Colors, FullHouse, and Wildcard?
I have never ran in those kind of courses before but have heard them - so I would appreciate a educational experienced trialer who has ran those courses too show me some videos and a description. :)
Thanks so much! :D
And I appreciate your answers.
Hugs,
Josy
@UHaveToBe : Actually, I am going to try Chaos's suggestion on to stop whining and go for it.
I really don't think you should go and stalk my question for a B!A you didn't get. o.o
You shouldn't worry about me or my dogs lives either if your just going to judge me and try to stalk my life by making me fail.
And if I do fail? Okay. What are you supposed to do about it?
Nothing.
Leave me alone and give me a real answer.
Thanks ...

Hi,
I have very recently decided to take up snooker seriously. Before this I use to play snooker at parlours & just for fun.
Now that I have my own cue I want to put a great tip on it too. It have a hard O'min tip on it, as it's an O'min cue.
Somehow I'm not enjoying the feel & hit I'm getting with this tip.
Being a newbie I am quite unsure what to do next. Definitely want to replace the current tip in the near future.
What should I go for?
How are Blue Diamond, Elkmaster, Le Pro, Talisman tips? Which one would you suggest?
Or are there other ones which are great too?
My snooker cue tip size is about 9.7mm
Please help me as quickly as possible.
Thank you.

I was in the audience that day and was a not a little upset myself at the rudeness of the remark. The player in question was a very good player and highly fancied to win the tournament. A little too fancy as it turned out. He called a foul on his opponent, a player named Lord after he (Lord) made the first shot of the match, for one of the colored balls not being correctly on its spot. Mr Lord replied "Why you fat little etc" and the foul was duly awarded. FLC responded calmly "That's all right but it's still a foul" or something like that. But it goes down in sporting history as the worst call since Dean Jones asked that Curtly Ambrose be made to remove his wrist-guard in that Melbourne cricket test. (I know, that was later - but it's too good a comparison to let pass.)
Lord, fueled by his righteous indignation, went on to win the contest in straight matches with no opposition from his opponent who was clearly shattered by the remark despite his calm exterior. And yes the plaintiff was overweight, a condition about which people were much more sensitive back in the 60's being as how they were something of a rarity, at least in Queensland.

Okay so assume someone wants to drive as economically as possible, they would do this by driving in the highest gear and at the optimum speed. When they went uphill they would maintain their speed but when they went downhill they would come off the accelerator (gas) in order not to use any fuel. If they were to coast at this point the engine would have to use a little fuel to keep turning over but if they were to leave it in gear then the wheels turning would work their way back though the drivetrain and keep the engine turning. Now does anyone know whether the loss in fuel caused by the loss of speed in turn caused by keeping the car in gear during the downhill run would supercede the amount of fuel used by the engine just staying at tickover? I know there are many variables, what car, load weight, steepness of the incline, speed but lets just say in a Mazda 6 (diesel 143) on that steep road that leads up to the M25 near where my sister lost her virginity to Dave from the snooker club (the second time, not the first one which apparently doesn't count because they both decided that it didn't happen).

I'm a 38 year old Male with good job, nice flat and good family and friends (on the whole).
I've got my degree, worked in several responsible Government Posts and enjoy good health.
I've recently joined a gym and a social club to get out more. Even considered dancing classes or similar.
I'm well read and intelligent. Been told I'm attractive though I have problems believing it.
But recently, I wonder if I've let life slip by.
I was a late developer so spent a lot of time in my Teenage years myself or with guys who played computers. Never bothered with girls till seventeen and missed a lot of dating opportunities, since I was quite popular at school. I think I regret that.
Later, rather than going out I was either working or playing snooker or games with guys who, frankly, weren't too socially skilled.
I've had my relationships (longest 5 years) and my one night stands but since a bad break up I haven't had any relationship now for five years.
Now I wonder where I stand. I still like to go out on Saturday but so many people are paired up and I wonder if I should be 'on the pull' at my age. If it isn't 'Sad'.
I've went out and made friends (since I lost a few in the last couple of years) but they haven't really been what I wanted. My mate, who told me he was a pick up artist, spends all his time wanting to play snooker and leaving me to start conversations.
Somehow, I've lost my knack with girls-maybe age? Not much attention and the one girl who has been interested in me (and, if I'm honest, me with her) is engaged to marry next May.
Work is enjoyable but offers no opportunities to progress and though I'm relatively popular, the fact I'm over-qualified does create a rift with some people.
My Brother & Mother seem to spend their life scraping by. I don't resent helping but wish they were more financially independent.
My oldest friend has turned into a sad hermit I can no longer relate to.
What am I trying to say? Maybe, I just wonder if everything good is behind me. I fear turning into a sad fat unattractive middle aged man, limping toward old age and uselessness and regret.
My Mother recently stated I've left it too late for marriage and am now left with rejects. That Hurt.
I don't know what I mean- or want!
Have I wasted my Life?

Many would say Stephen Hendry, Steve Davis, or Joe Davies, but having checked opinion polls from over the years Alex Higgins name was a frequent suggestion. Many people thought of him as bringing snooker to life as a rebel and although he did do some shameful things, I can not help feeling sorry for him as he was probably misguided. He had the nickname hurricane for his super fast approach and he used to take shots that others could not even think up. The peoples champion RIP you genius!
